FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. WHEN DO WE POST THE ITINERARY OR MAPS?

We will email an Event Guide the week of the event with an itinerary and maps. This Event Guide will include instructions on how to download these maps onto your device. We do not want our itinerary and driving routes made public, thus the late release.

2. WHAT DO WE DO IN INCLEMENT WEATHER?

These events are “rain or shine” and we do not cancel an event due to weather. Like the beach, the forecast in the mountains is very unpredictable and can change frequently. We actually prefer our forecast to show about a 40% chance of rain, as that keeps the congestion down in the area and keeps most of the tourists on cruiser bikes away. We have had rain during some events and it does not put a damper on our fun.

3. DOES THE RESORT HAVE A PLACE TO PARK TRAILERS?

Yes, the Fontana Village Resort has tons of parking, but they have a designated spot near their General Store for the parking and unloading of trucks and trailers.

4. WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY?

Registration can be cancelled with a refund, when done so more than six weeks out from the event date. If you need to cancel within six weeks of the event, you will be given a credit towards a future event. That credit must be used within a year from the event you missed and can not be rescheduled. Within two weeks of the event, no refund nor credit will be given.

5. HOW DO WE RECIEVE THE EVENT PHOTOS?

You will receive an email with a link to your event photos in about a week from the conclusion of the event. There will be thousands of photos that need sorted and edited, so this will take a few days to get completed. Your link will allow you to download as any photos as you wish.

6. HOW OFTEN DO YOU STOP FOR RESTROOM BREAKS AND FUEL?

Fuel tops with groups this large have to be very strategically planned. We try to never go more than 100 miles between fuel stops if possible. During our typical day we will make 4-5 stops for fuel, restroom, food and social events. Most stops are a combination of all four so we can maximize our drive time.

7. IS THERE FUEL AT THE RESORT?

Yes, the Fontana Village Resort has a Pit Stop gas station on the property. It is a very small gas station with two old-school analog gas pumps. So it helps out in case of emergency, but we suggest fueling up whenever possible and arriving with close to a full tank of gas as possible.
